Submission of assessment items
Extensions & Late submissions
Extensions to assignments, placements, deferred intra-semester tests and examinations
Students are only permitted one extension per assignment and one deferral per intra-semester test/examination/placement (on the grounds of illness or other special circumstances as per UC Assessment Procedures). Students are NOT PERMITTED to defer an already deferred intra-semester test, exam or placement. A request for extensions / deferral must be on the Assessment Extension form with relevant documentation and must be emailed to the Unit Convener as soon as possible and no later than 3 business days from the due date.
Students must make themselves available for deferred assessments which will be scheduled by the unit convener as per UC Assessment Procedures. Any student unable to undertake the deferred intra-semester test, exam, assignment, or placement will receive a mark of zero or fail grade for that assessment task.
Special assessment requirements
It is COMPULSORY to complete all the assessment items (written and oral assessments) AND gain a total mark of 50% or more to be able to pass this unit.
Using generative AI
Students are permitted to use generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) only in assessments number 1 (Health Profession Report) and 3 (Oral Group Presentations) for following purposes:
- initial ideation in response to the topic, 2. assisting in structuring your thinking, 3. developing a comparison table, and 4. suggesting clearer language.
You must properly acknowledge any generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) that you use in an assessment. Do this by:
- citing and referencing any GenAI content included in your assessment submission, applying the relevant referencing style (either as specifed in the assessment instructions, or as appropriate to the unit or discipline area if not specifed), and
- acknowledging whether you have or have not used GenAI in preparing the assessment by completing the GenAI Acknowledgement Statement below and placing this statement in your submission (either after the reference list or another location as specifed in the assessment instructions).
You should:
- keep records of the development of the work submitted for the assessment, and any drafts of works submitted for a work-in-progress review, in a learning portfolio or equivalent (access to these may be requested during a Learning Validation Conversation).
- ensure you are ready to respond in English to questions about your assessment to demonstrate your achievement of the learning outcomes of that assessment if/when you are requested to participate in a Learning Validation Conversation.
GenAI Acknowledgement Statement
Select which of the following two statements is relevant to your submission based on whether you have used or not used GenAI in preparing the assessment. Complete the relevant GenAI Acknowledgement Statement for your assessment before copying the statement into your submission, either after the reference list or another location as speci驴ed in the assessment instructions.
I have not used any GenAI tools/services in the preparation of this assessment. I understand that providing false or misleading information in this GenAI Acknowledgement Statement may constitute a breach of the 麻豆传媒映画出品 (Student Conduct) Rules 2023.

UC students have to complete the annually to learn about academic integrity and to understand the consequences of academic integrity breaches (or academic misconduct).
UC uses various strategies and systems, including detection software, to identify potential breaches of academic integrity. Suspected breaches may be investigated, and action can be taken when misconduct is found to have occurred.
