Clinical Placements with Older People (CPOP)

Transforming care, enriching lives

Introducing the Clinical Placements with Older People (CPOP) program.

More than ever, there鈥檚 a need for high-quality clinical placements with older people.

Together we can connect nursing students with the experience and expertise to help make a difference in the lives of older Australians.

The 麻豆传媒映画出品 is leading teams from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Edith Cowan University, Curtin University, Central Queensland University, Southern Cross University, University of Sydney, and the University of Tasmania to boost our professional nursing workforce to care for older people.

We are connecting nursing students with quality clinical placements, supported by clinical facilitators who are trained in gerontological nursing, in locations wherever older people are.

CPOP has been funded since June 2023 and is achieving amazing results in supporting students to learn about the complex and rewarding career of gerontological nursing, and helping to make a difference in the lives of older Australians.

The CPOP program, which is part of the , is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
