The Soldier On Scholarship supports former Australian Defence Force personnel and members of the Defence community as they pursue undergraduate study at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»³öÆ·.
Established to help members of the Defence community access higher education, the Soldier On Scholarship is valued at $5,000 and supports two eligible students per year. By helping ease the financial pressures of university, the scholarship gives recipients greater opportunity to focus on their education and pursue their future aspirations.
Founded in Canberra in 2012, Soldier On supports Australian veterans and their families as they transition from military service to civilian life. Initially established to support wounded veterans, Soldier On has grown into a national organisation supporting veterans and their families through health and wellbeing, employment, education and social connection.
The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»³öÆ· also supports current and former ADF members through its Veteran Tertiary Support Program (VTSP). Eligible Defence personnel can access direct entry to UC, an automatic selection rank based on their Defence rank and experience, and may be eligible for automatic credit for some units in some courses. Participants can also apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), subject to course requirements and credit limits, as well as access tailored support and benefits.
The Soldier On Scholarship at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»³öÆ· aims to provide veterans and their families with greater flexibility and support when considering higher education.
